Nicaragua Keeps Growing
New indicators of digital growth in Nicaragua highlight changes in key indicators during these times of digital tool adoption.
By comparing figures from January 2019 to January 2020, we see a population increase of 1.2%, representing more than 80,000 people. This growth has led to a 3.8% increase in mobile-connected devices, with over 365,000 new devices. Consequently, the number of internet users has also risen by 6.9% compared to the previous year, adding over 200,000 new users. From April 2019 to January 2020, there has been an even greater increase in active social media users, with an additional 321,000 people, representing a 12% increase.
